BSBI maintains 2 cemeteries in Charleston.
The Cemetery Committee, comprised of Jeffery Sabel, Edward Berlin and Charles Karesh, has been meeting with the Cemetery Fund Committee – chaired by Chuck Jacobson – to discuss the needs of the cemetery. The Committee has recommended repairs and renovations which are needed at the Maryville Cemetery site. The Cemetery Committee recommended that a landscape contractor be hired. The cost of the repairs and renovations are going to be paid with funds from the cemetery fund. Thanks go to Edward Berlin and Charles Karesh who have been working closely with the landscape contractor. In addition to the renovations and repairs, a new fountain is going to be installed. This fountain has been graciously donated to the cemetery by Mickey and Janet Berg in memory of their son, Russell Berg,o.b.m. The Committee hopes that this project will be completed within the next few weeks; and that it will enhance and beautify the cemetery. |
